Template ONLY for the index page?
 

Hello,
I want to have a dedicated template ONLY for the index.php page, the welcome forum page. Is there any way to do it? Any hack or anything else? I must put a banner only to the index.php page! It could be if I could use a dedicated template for this page. Any help would be appreciated it!

Or is it possible to manually edit the index.php file in order to put the wanted code in the header, disabling the header from the template this way?

What do you mean, "only for the index page?" Do you want the other pages hardcoded, and what advantage would that have?

An ad campaign will run on my site and it requires some ad views to be done ONLY in the first page (index.php). That's why I need this modification. One way would be to set another template for all forums but I cannot change template for Control Panel, New Messages, etc.

My site is a forum site, only forums, nothing else. The index.php of the site is the index.php of vBulletin.
