Hello,

I see a lot of members here spend their valuable time coding very useful hacks. The number of installations for any hack can range from a few forum owners to many of them depending upon its usefulness.

I feel that the hackers should be compensated monetarily for their valuable work. At the same time, just a couple of people may not be able to afford to shell out that kind of money. so I was just thinking of something like this for vB.org :

1. Have a donate me button for the hack developers in their posts. So that whoever uses their hack might want to donate a few dollars. When more users donate this could add up to a considerable amount.

I am sorry, if i am offending any hack developers by proposing this. It was just a thought. If that is the case a hacker could opt out of such a option.

Any takers ?? Your opinion please !?

I don't think money related things should be implemented here at all, everyone who makes and installs hacks have paid for a vBulletin license and that's all they should pay for and anything money related that is introduced will spark controversy and competition.

If something like this should ever get started then you would have a mess of people competing against one another for the almighty dollar. I say "NO!" Just my opinion. ;)

I am not saying it as a compulsoray payment for hackers. Its just an option for the hack users who might want to donate.

I understand when you say the forum owners have paid for the Vbulletin script.....but i just thought this way hackers get something in return for their valuable time and expertise.

hey - I am not a coder or hack developer...infact I am a user of useful hacks released here. So don't mistake me in this regard.

We won't include that button or anything similar.
If someone wants to donate a hacker for a hack, he can contact that hacker in private.

If someone wants money for his hack, here isn't the right place for him to post then.
