How to fix login?

Apparently SOME (but not all) members are having problems logging in. I don't know what this is, but it seems like it is HACK related somehow. When logging in members get:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the Wrestling-Edge.com Forums database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Which script does the logging in? I replaced member.php and member2.php with the original scripts and have the same problem. Anyone know what hack (if any) or what script to put back to the original?

Try and reupload the original sessions.php file into your admin directory...

WEForums 05-05-2003 09:36 PM

I never edited sessions.php. I'll try it though.

Actually, I just saved my entire forum file, then uploaded the original...and I STILL have the problem.

Anyone know what could cause this database problem? Is it possible that it's their ISP or something?

What's the exact database error? Also, are you running the latest version of vB and have you removed all unnecessary hacks?

WEForums 05-05-2003 11:25 PM

Can't get the exact database error right now, sadly.

I uninstalled all hacks because I uploaded the original vBulletin files...

Unless I need to run queries to get rid of them. That could be it, eh?

filburt1 05-05-2003 11:29 PM

Possibly.

WEForums 05-05-2003 11:41 PM

I'll post the error tomorrow.

Also, what's the query command for dropping queries? I know each one is different, but is there something they have in common? You'll probably direct me to some MySQL site. :p

filburt1 05-05-2003 11:58 PM

Query for dropping queries? You can only drop columns, tables, and databases. Queries are commands.

WEForums 05-06-2003 10:49 PM

The only database error sent vai e-mail was one involving E-Mails sent from the database regarding spamming issues. Nothing about other errors have been reported. Strange.
