Not really a hack, but could someone please help...

I need exact, step by step instructions on how to do this on a dedicted server.

I have referenced the following link...

But there are still missing steps for someone who has LIMITED KNOWLEDGE with shelling into the server. I have gotten as far as shelling in, but I need step by step instrunctions from that point forward, including how to save the file I created, exiting, shutting down MySQL and rebooting server.

Please also advise on instructions on how to undo the commands that are requested, including removing the file and/or undoing any changes that have been made.
