Moderators Online!
 

Hey! I am looking for a hack that displays moderators as online all of the time. I know your thinking why? Well I have 27,500+ members and only 8 mods! I know I need more mods but I cant give just anyone a mod status. I'm getting alot of rule breaking and I'm not a banning type of person. But these things seem to happen more when only 1 or 2 mods are online. It would be nice if all appear online all of the time. It would really help me get a handle on this! Most of the time all mods are online so folks wont notice the change. But the late night ramblings and arguements are getting out of hand. Last night I had a 27 page thread of crap! Thanks and await your expertise!

Members: 27500, Threads: 180, Posts: 212 - and the Memberlist is disabled.

Anyway, this hack would be relatively simple. Probably just make another Who's Online table and have it display only the moderator, super moderator, and admin usergroup.

Yea looks kind of goofy doesn't it! Just performed fresh install on new server. I've only uploaded the members to the database. I have alot of pruning to do before I upload the old forums contents! Due to the JUNK i'm trying to stop! I personally see no point in the memberlist! You can pm any member from their post! Just pointless bandwidth!

I think you could template hack this but it might look a little weird if all your mods are grouped together ;)

I'm pretty sure this has been done before though. But maybe not as specific as you want it

I am going to try to make a hack for this, but I am going to need some help from the community... off to the help forums! w00t! :D

It probably would look weird being grouped together did'nt think about that!

Maybe I should try looking at using the "Show usersonline as groups" hack to make this look better. But first have to figure out how to make them show online!

I suggest you recruit more moderators. :) At my private forums, I have nearly 60 moderators now. :)

Yeah, there is already a hack for this. With some modification you can make it show the information to everyone, so I am not gonna give it a go anymore :p
