V-Gallery

Ok dont get too excited its very early days, but ive managed to get all the attachemnts froma selected forum and show them in thumbnails!

With a bit of help from xenon (thnx for that query it got me on track)

Any way i will be realesing simple show last x amount of images from x forum id soon, but what this means is that i will then be able to go on and hopefully write a gallery hack for vb that will show the images from a selected forums in repectively named categories as the forum there in.

Dont expect this very soon or for the first release to be too feature packed, but with a bit of luck i,ll try and avoid using gd and imagkagick and just code it smartly..

as at current my thumbnailing is a bit iffy, that and geting it to eval the results the way i want it to

but im gonna try real hard here, and if anyone wants to help out then shout me

Take a look at this hack (for vB 2.0.0) that did pretty much that. This one did require ImageMagik to be installed, but may be able to help you out with parts of it :)

well i just uplaoded a test file for outputting the last x images to my actaul host and got a load of non-existent images..

but its working great on my localhost, and i may actaully just end up using imag magik fr the thumbnails

just found a huge bug!

it seems that vb inserts a new attachment id for everypost made, and only inserts data to it when needed, thus the script is reading all attachemnt ids and is showing the blank ones aswell, so im gonna need to work round this and get it to check to see if fle data is empty before outputting the files

good luck dude, i thought most hosts come preinstalled with gd tho, so you should just go with it, i wouldn't mind :nervous:
