Huge database

My VB Database is over than 900 MB .

and I want any body advise me to decrease this size
any way to make it more small or to compact it

?

Try mass pruning old threads

if you are a mysql4.x user, recently released search hack is a very good way to decrease your mysql size by removing search indexes.

Also in most boards attachment table is a big deal when it comes to db size so you can think about restricting attachments or at leasr prune the old ones either
