[img] Tag in Signatures by Usergroup
This hack allows you to control what usergroups can use the [img] tag in signatures.
Two important notes: 1. Deny rights take power over allow rights, so if it is disabled globally, this setting won't make a difference. 2. This hack only stops users from using [img] tags when they try to edit their signature. It does not affect users who already have it in their sigs. |

Very nice hack! This could come in handy for many many boards.

I receive this error when trying to run the script:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/turcicc/public_html/forumstest/admin/install_imgtagbyusergroup.php on line 15 FIX: line 14 is missing a semicon and should be corrected to: Code:

I am going to install this tonight!!

*installed* working fine here!
One cosmetic thing: In order for this to work you must turn on [img] for signature in the general options (as filburt also mentioned). But then, for ANY user it will say "[img] code is ON" in the Profile update dialog. Couldn't there be a small routine that checks the canimginsig entry in usergroup? |
finally someone made a hack i requested. about time :)

There could be. All you'd have to do is check $permissions['canimginsig']. |
