i was wondering if there was something like this...like i run a dj site, but we throw events, i want certain threads to be highlighted so they stand out, anyone??

I guess you mean highlighted differently than by "sticking" the thread?

It would require JOINing the user table in with the other joins in the query in forumdisplay and could substantially increase the query time. However, you could take Xenon's approach and just cache it in the thread table (the usergroupid, that is).

hmmm...thanx ill try that....i have a question for filburt...on your site, you have those 3 announcements at the top, and it looks totally seperate from the rest of the posts.....is there a hack out for that????
