question about style....
 

Im not sure if this is the right place to ask this........
But how do you add different styles to your forums, like this site has a drop down menu and you can change the color/style etc?

Learning about the styles is quite a long process to explain. Try the manual at vbulletin.com

For the styles in a dropdown its a hack which can be found here. Just do a search for style dropdown ;)

Learn the vocabulary because it confused me for a while (and now I'm a god :p):

Template: bits of HTML, PHP variables, and replacements to form HTML output
Replacement: a generic snippet of text (for example, {firstaltcolor}) that translates into another snippet of HTML ({firstaltcolor}, here)
Style set: a collection of templates and replacements
