$newposts in header template - not initialized yet ?
 
I wanted to place View New posts link as a button just nearby all other header buttons on top, but it didn't work - empty string returned. Seems to be $newposts is not initialized at that time. Any help will be appreciated.

If you're going to use an image to link it, it will work (Like on vB.org) otherwise the variable will require hacking.
