Topic categories for threads
 

G'day all,

Another request from me today, and one I've made a few times before with no luck, and that is for a topics-based system for threads.

My site is primarily a comic book news site, and since we cover a wide variety of subjects it would be very handy to be able to select a topic from a drop-down list when posting a new thread in a designated news forum, and then allow users to select a topic from a list which would then see the system search for all threads in that topic and present them as a list to the user.

There was such a system in the vBPortal front end, but I've stopped using that as I've found vBHome to be much better!

Is there anyone that would be willing to write such a hack, please?

There's no need to keep bumping this thread. There's half of your idea already released by one of the french members here. I can't recall his name off the top of my head but it was released in the last 6months.

Sorry mate, but I haven't seen anything like this and I check out the new hacks pretty often.
