Top hackers (in a different way)
 

I realize the problems with attributing "status" to number of hacks released. It's no more a measure of hacking ability than post count is of intelligence.

What if, instead of # of hacks released, the list was based on # of users that have installed your hacks. I think that is a much more accurate measurement of the top hackers, isn't it?

But then there will be the competition of getting hackers to install hacks. The main reason we don't display top hackers is to prevent competition in any way :)

Yes but it's not a competition. I mean you don't see anyone rushing around getting people to click install. Yet you see some people (naming no names) who have flurries of mini-hacks which are practically pointless (if you can say that) or already made. I think that if we promote the installation tallies of hacks or the number of hacks released then we'll see more of this :)
