Looking for ticker, I know nothing, looking for easy
 
Okay, I have vBulletin v2.2.9. This is for an intranet at a company.

What I am looking for is something to display a horizontal ticker of new posts.

We have out of office and new updates type of stuff that I want people to be able to see with ease.

I have searched here and have found a few things but I can't get anything to work. I want the ticker to be displayed on the index page somewhere near the top.

Now for the kicker, how do I do this? Remember, I don't know squat about this stuff but I have a test server that mirrors the real server so I can break it figuring it out.

Step by step would be nice.

rss feed hack and this app

its a hover menu that reads rss feeds. pretty nifty
