Daily event calendar
I am looking for a script in which I can take an excel file which lists events and to have a calendar on the main page that automatically updates at Midnight with the next day's events.
Can anyone help? |
I doubt there's a lot of PHP that can parse .xls files. You might be able to save the Excel file as something else though like tab-delimited text which should be reasonably easy to parse.

OK, easy enough, is there any out there that can post events from a .txt file that would update every night?

vB or non-vB page?
|
Non, I would like to put it on the main page. I know I could do it through the VB calendar but I don't want to put in each event. I have an excel spreadsheet with a sports conference list of daily events (10-20 each day). I want a section on the main page which lists today's events and to be able to click on a link for each game which explains things further. Tommorow's events will automatically be posted at midnight.
Thanks! |
Gugh, took me a while to find this: http://www.softclub.org/excelexplorer/ . Might help.
