Advice on a news script
 

I love the idea of being able to have a specific forums for news items, and that forums posts get published to the front page.

I have seen a number of scripts that would accomplish this.
I am not looking for a huge piece of portal software, just the ability to pull news items to the front page.

I just wanted your advice on this one.

I like Pluh News for a basic simple news script. It works well and is easy to install. Logician has a hack that lets you pull news from any forum though, and that one is better if you don't want a designated news forum.

This is great info..
because one reason I came to vB is because of its support if I have a problem...

And I assumed for the most part that the support for its hacks were pretty good as well. I dont know php so my support with you guys is absolutely critical since I dont have a guy who knows php to help me.
