Where do I begin?
 

I run two Vbulletin boards, and would like to start applying some of the great hacks that have been developed and showcased in this forum.

However, I am clueless about how to do so. I'm a pro at running a Vbulletin board, but the programming aspect is all new to me.

Where do I begin? I've tried to search for posts on this topic, but can't find any.

Any resources out there to instruct a beginner on installing hacks?

You all had to start somewhere..............

it's pretty easy.
download a hack and follow the instructions.
i use notepad for editing files.

I started out by simply opening the files and carefully reading the instructions of each hack. It's not hard simply placing or replacing code in a file ;)

That's mainly the jist of it. There's also the matter of running queries but that's easy enough to do and not too many hacks require it :). There are hacks which you just upload a file and it allows you to run queries.
