countdown vb code
1 Attachment(s)
I've seen several countdown hacks, but they all seemed like way too much. here's a simple countdown vb tag for ya. It requires 1 template edit.
the countdown tag displays the number of days until or since a given date. It displays the date by default but has the option of giving the day a name. it's smart enough to handle the date in many formats like Feb 27 2003 or Feb 27th 2003 or Feb 27, 2003 or February 27th, 2003, or .... ah you get the point |
:s Sounds nifty - I've installed. But I'm not getting anything. I've added both "countdown" vBcodes as you stated and added the ...function... to the java tags in showthread template...
Maybe I'm not using it right? |
what do yo mena youa re getting nothing? blank post or you can see the tag and it isn't doing anything
|
I see nothing in the tags. I may be using it wrong, but i enter the following in a post:
Quote:
[countdown=january 1 2004]January 1 2004[/countdown] ? |
no, you have it right but it sounds like the vb code is off. I'll check and see if i missed something. In the meantime, I changed it to a textfile. maybe it will work for you now

I'm getting a runtime error when I post (with the code)

Same thing has happend to me.

works for me in 2.30 :)

Nice! Installed.
Any ideas on having it count minutes and possibly seconds as well? If needed, it could use only the first minute/second of that day, OR a specific time if that would be possible. Usage could be: January 1 2004 14:01 |
thankx :)
