Record Users Online - Suggestions?
 

My "record users online" number consistently messes up to show the number of current users online. I have edited the forumhome_loggedinusers template, but the line consisting of "Most users ever online was $recordusers on $recorddate at $recordtime." remains untouched.

Is there anyway to fix this? Today I actually had like 16 members online (we are a wee community) and I want it to reflect that. :(

My board is heavily hacked, but I have no clue as to where to start to look for the problem. I cannot give out the url here, but I can via pm if anyone has any ideas or needs to see it specifically.

I know it's a problem I have seen others mention before. I will search a bit and see if I can't find the specific threads.
