Bump Thread Hack

On my forums (www.thunderbirdnest.com), I have many moderators try to get a message across through a post and continuously bump it to the top by posting additional posts saying "bump" or something similar. Im sure others have this problem as well.

What i would like to have done or start to work on if no one else that is smarter in this subject chooses to do it, is this. In the Admin drop down box at the bottom, i would like to have an option called "Bump" or "MTT" (Move to Top) that will automatically move the thread to the top and mark it as if there was a new post. This way users would look at it again without all the extra crap posts that are going on.

Anyone willing to make this modification? Thanks.

No. The stick feature moves the thread to the top and keeps it there. It also does not make it appear as if there was a new post and does not draw as much attention to it. I would simply like it to be bumped to the top to start again to drop. Basically as if a new post was posted but not really.
