Hack to make private forum private even to moderator
 

Hi. First I have to apologize for a total newbie question, but that's what I am :(

I have vB 2.2.9 and by default, any user who is moderator of a forum on my boards has access to private forums. It apears that the only way to change this is to manually change the user access mask user by user.

I was looking for a better way to handle that, so vB Team told me to come here.

I use the search tool of course, but get several hack without clear explanations, and apparently not for 2.2.9 :confused:

I'm not looking for something heavy, just the simpliest way to keep my private forums private even to moderator, without chaning forum permission for each every one of them.

Anyone can help me with this ?

PS: if you propose a full hack, where can I find a explanation about them ? What they change, what are the risk, possibilites of futures Jelsoft upgrades and compatibily, and so on.

oh, as an info: most hacks of vb2.2.x also work for vb2.2.9
