Can someone tell me what they think about the styles

ok i admin and Hack 2 forums

http://www.midasarray.com/vb

and

http://forums.sg-online.net

i made both main skins on both sites as well as installing all the hacks

now at the midasarray board there are other skins as well...

can someone who has more experiance than me with skins please tell me how to improve both forums

I would suggest against using a light-on-dark look. It's hard to read and is (IMO) unprofessional. Also make sure you don't have Times New Roman anywhere on the page; surround such text with either <normalfont> or <smallfont> tags.

light on a medium colour like blue.. or colours like that are fine though i guess

the Stargate online will be getting a default facelift in the next week thats why i'm asking this...

Not bad, I agree with what filburt said. Using the smallfont/normalfont tags will benefit you when you make font changes via Style settings etc.

okies

i'll change those over soon

what about these colours

First site:

- change those times new roman fonts
- like people have sed don't use light on dark

Second site:

- what a pointless use of flash. it could be done easier with rollovers :)

hey im admin at that site and the flash i believe is far smaller than a set of rollovers would be also it is far superior quality, we are hoping to change the forum style to match the new site here is a preview of the site
http://www.screencaps.sg-online.net do you think the colours would look nice on a forum?

Tony G 02-02-2003 02:52 AM

I doubt it's smaller then using rollovers.

Davideastwood 02-08-2003 04:24 PM

well are any of you offering todo it :D

Dean C 02-08-2003 05:56 PM

If i had the time i would help. But i don't sorry :(

And it would be far less loading time with rollovers.
