'Registration open/closed' on forumhome
Is there a way to display on the forumhomepage whether registration is open or closed just simply like:
Registration=Closed Or maybe using a red/green lightbulb or something. How can I do this? Please help thanks in advance |
you can do so by installing template conditions hack by logician and check the variable $allowregistration
|
Ok, When I add $allowregistration to e.g. forumhome_logoutcode it shows me either a '1' or '0'.
Now where and how do I make the translation from that '1' or '0' to 'open' or 'closed' (or a nice .gif). I'm not rally into programming, but as far as I can try I think it the only changes that are needed for this are in 1) a template e.d. forumhome_logoutcode 2) index.php 3) global.php I already looked at Logician's hack but that's not ginving me answers. Again, I'm not really into programming, so it might be crap what I'm saying. I just need some help. Thanks in advance. |
with logicians hack you should be able to use a condition like this in your templates then:
Code:
[[allowregistration]]open[[allowregistration]] |
Sorry, I'm clueless, I really need some help.
I tried a few things but I can't sort it out. |
Can someone make me this hack please?
|
