Avatar Resizer by using GD

Hiya guys,

I'm looking for someone who can help me out with a hack or template modification that will resize users their avatar by using the tool GD. I already saw a topic containing a hack for autoresizing with ImageMagick. But I just can't use ImageMagick at the moment.

Hope you guys can help me out on this one....
