Yet another avatar hack needed...
 

I tried hacking this myself, but quickly realized I was in over my head.

This is what I need....

I do not upload "generic" avatars for my members to choose from, instead I make them upload their own. What I would like is a system where users may upload their own avatars (not just 1) and it would show them in their cp so they can choose which one they would like to use.

It should be configurable so that After X posts, the user may upload 1 avatar. After Y posts, they may upload a second avatar, and so on...

Basically it would work like the avatar upload area in the admin CP, but users would perform the upload, and all avatars they add are only selectable by them.

The admin would be able to "give" a user an avatar at any time as well.

BTW, whoever hacks this is guaranteed at least 1 vote from me for "hack of the month", as I am dying for this kind of avatar functionality.

Thoughts? Obviously it's possible. The question is...

it would be cool if a hack like this would also allow the admin to select which user groups could have avatars, through the CP.

right now, there's a mod that you can hardcode the user groups, but i'm sure many vB users won't be hardcoding anything.
