importing user db manually via SQL
I am currently running invision board, but want to move to vBulletin shortly. I am trying to transfer my user database across, I have dumped it to excel, changed the names of all the relavant columns and imported it into the 'user' table.
It has sort of worked, in that vBulletin tells me I have 250 users in some places, but if I look at the user list, or try and edit a user using the admin panel, then it doesn't recognise any of the imported users - is there another file I need to update, or have I missed an important field. These are the fields I have populated. userid, username, password, email, joindate, ipaddress, posts, aim, icq, signature, userti tle, timezoneoffset, lastpost, lastvisit, lastactivity , I am sorry if this isn't really a 'hack' question - this just seemed like the best place to find an answer. You must have an entry in the userfield table for each userid you have in the user table, this will make the users show up.

Thank you - I will give that a try!

Thanks, that has solved my problem!
