Hacking help.
 

I'm a newbie in PHP and MySQL. Before I purchase a copy of vBulletin, I want to know: how hard is it to modify or hack the boards? Sorry... I'm very inexperienced in programming and what not.

Well if you have no programming experience it will present you with a challenge.

But if you're willing to learn and take the time to learn then you can grip the basics within a month or so :)

I started out PHP / MySQL from making hacks on Vbulletin.. as you go along you will learn more and more being able to make better modifications to your board.. and it can be fun..

So depending on your skill level.. its generally easy.

Same as Neo here, nearly all of my PHP/MySQL knowledge came with vb hacking.

Installing the normal hacks is very easy, the instructions are written very understandable.

Just some greater hacks or Hack collisions need more experience

I'd recommend Vb as well.

Once you get the hang of it all you'll love it :)

YAY! Just placed my order. Can't wait to set it up, but unfortunately that will have to wait until tomorrow.
