Submitting Tutorials Hack...???

Hi Guys,

Take a look here: http://www.flashkit.com/cgi-bin/tutorials/add.cgi

Is there a hack for this kind of thing??

Cheers :classic:

Yeah actually, I think I could do with one of those, since my forum is about scripting in the mIRC language (and about my own script).
Maybe an option to entitle it ' Tutorial ', so you can define whether it's a tutorial post or not in the post. So if it is a tutorial (say only moderators and upwards can add/del a tutorial), then you can select ' Mark this thread as a tutorial thread ' or something.
This would be a swell hack if someone would hack it.
Thanks.

Dave.

I would love a hack like this too, but I would use it for "Reviews".. IE: Reviews of Car Parts and stuff where logged in forum users could add reviews to a particular forum via a page like that.

Please Please Please do one up! =)

what the hell happened there???

6-7 posts :)

Davey 01-16-2003 09:48 PM

Hmmm.
alkatraz, please don't repeat post the same thing over and over.
Either that or there is a major problem with the database, and I doubt that somehow ;).
Please don't duplicate posts.

Dave.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to duplicate post! I was having problems that night with posting all over this site, I could do everything else no problem but it kept timing out when I went to post.... WIERD!

ps: I deleted the dupl. posts

I would love to see this hack show up in the Hacks section. I'm looking for something to allow members to use a submission form that has a user-specified number of steps. Each step would have a text box and a photo-upload button. Basically, it would spit out a step-by-step how-to article which can be treated just like a thread in the forums.

I'd imagine it would be derived from the postbit function.

Yep - I would also use it for reviews...

This would be a great add-on, I am sure there must be someone up to the challenge!

I'd use it for tutorials too.

Why you don?t use vBPortal?
There is a integrated Review-Section.
I use vB-Portal and must say its great!! ;)
