Paid Site - User ID Expire

I have done a search and not able to find what I am looking for...

I own a site that requires members to pay for access, so I am looking for something that will stop the ID from logging in after 1 year if the account has not been paid up.

I am not looking for a billing system, although that would be cool, but more of an automated system that will lock their account, and be able to reactivate it after payment. Something with a reminder a month before to the user and the Admin would be interesting as well...

Any thoughts?

I'm building the same kind of site and would love to have something like that! I'll keep a watch here....

Heck, I would like that one myself! Not intending to do that in the near term, but I would like to keep my options open and have the code ready in case it becomes a feasible plan for me.

Anyone willing to take up the gauntlet on this one?

Thanks!

You can use the standard Payed Subscription system already buildin to vB.

Just set up your Registered Member group to have no access to the board (or just to 1 guest section, then add a Member group with full access, and let the Payed Subscription system put them into that group.

Wow - this is an oldie. Because I didn't see any solutions to this issue posted here I hired a programmer to handle this issue with Payl. With their IPN system she was able to have their usergroup changed based on their subscription status.

Funny that nobody responded with a solution at this site (until 2005), yet the feature ended up in vB 3.

Lol i never noticed that this was a vB2 thread from 2003 :D

Didn't finish my coffee yet when responding ;)
