new to this php thing and what to know more about it

:nervous: yes, i know nothing about PHP and i want to learn about it. what programs do i need, where can i learn how to make stuff like message boards with PHP, and stuff like that

Wel you need not any programs, just any sort of html editor, and a php enabled and preferablly mysql enabled server if you wish to venture into database. Then you can check out www.php.net to get started.
