.htaccess files
 

Anyone know how to make these? to make my admin cp a little bit more secure.... I have tried looking at guides and things I've searched up on the net but I'm still lost. I have phpwebhosting.com as my host if that helps any in you helping me.

@ filburt: i saw this but its only meant for one user - any chance there could be a screen where you select the number of users to select up and then you can set up multiple users for the .htaccess file ?

At present it can't do that. What you can do is:

1. Run through it once
2. Run through it again, using a different username and password
3. Download just the .htpasswd file and append the first one's with the contents of this one
4. Repeat 2 and 3 for all extra users

Ok sure i'll give it a go - would be a very nice feature though :p

oh this works exactly how I wanted it to work thank a bunch

Ensim has a feature for this in the admin panel :p I love the feature.

It took a week just to write that one thanks to a certain browser's inability to correctly read headers *looks at IE*

When I get the free time I'll investigate it (you're not the first to suggest such a feature) but WDF is consuming my life ;)
