Request

This is a hack i tried to make. But me being somewhat a newbie to PHP, i got errors. So i just deleted it. But the hack is, when you click 'view new post' on the forum home page. And you click on a thread, and post in there, whatever. Instead of clicking 'back, back, back' and all that to get back to the 'view new post' Why not have a link under the post that says 'view new post'

there is a view new post button in front of the threads when you use the view new posts feature already...

Logik 01-02-2003 08:00 PM

Xenon. I dont see what you're talking about.

hmm, then you should clear up what you want, you are very unprecious.

Threadtitle request in a forum called request ist not helpful.

three times "view new post" in a sentence without any new lines is hard to understand.

It sounds like you wanted to have a link under the threads on the search for new posts page to go directly to a new post.

No.. I will clear it up.

I want it to when you click 'view new post' and you see the threads that have new post in them. And you click one, and post in it. Instead of having to hit the back button like 3 times to go back to the view new post. I want it to where when they get dont posting, there will be a button like under the quick reply box that says something like 'back to new post' or 'view new post'

you could just stick an extra button in the header that links to h**p://www.yourdomain.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=getnew

if i got your request right...

Logik 01-02-2003 10:49 PM

Yes that will probably work. I wasnt thinking.. Thanks :o)

no worries, i always put this as a link in the header, some of our members live in the new posts section. :D
