I need help
 

Something is very odd at my Forums. When new members register and try to login, they are told that their password is wrong (and it isn't), then I have to reset their password, sometimes this fixes the problem, but sometimes it does not, then they can never login, so they just give up... this is happening LOTS! I have no idea what to do or where to even begin looking, I will appreciate any advice! Thank you.

Reupload the original register.php file. Make sure you upload in ASCII and overwrite the one on the server.

Also, can you please restore the vBulletin/Jelsoft copyright to your footer template? Right now you are in violation of the license agreement. At a minimum the copyright must read:

vBulletin, Copyright ©2000 - 2002, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited.

See what happens is I paid someone to design and install the default templates of my site and he removed or never added the copyright, all of the other templates have it, I will try to add it or get him to fix it. Thanks for the information, I appreciate it!

It was a pain to figure out where to put it since I am not used to working with those tables LOL but it's done hehe...

I don't have the register.php for version 2.2.6 which is the one I have, I went to try get it from vBulletin but they only have version 2.2.9 available, I sent a service ticket and was told to upgrade to 2.2.9. I can't upgrade right now, that is why I wanted to find another solution, looks like I am back to square one. :(

hmm, i don't know what was changed in register.php from 226 to 229.

maybe try to upload the 229 version, it could also work :)

I still have a copy of 2.2.6 if this guy is a vBulletin owner. :)
