automatically lock old threads

I need a hack that will automatically lock threads that are older then X days (you can specify how many days).
This hack will prevent users (especially new users) to reply to "old threads" and bump them to the head of the forum.

Why don't you create a new forum named Archives, remove all post rights and voila, there you have it.
