Hello all. I'm wondering if anyone out there as good web design skills. I'm not looking for an entire site, just a layout and a few banners that I can go by and expand with. Something like this is a good layout. I will give you full credit for your work but I cannot pay you, as domain name, hosting, and vbulletin has taken the bulk of my $$. Well not many people are so kind enough as to do custom work for free..

A design like this would cost you well over 200 US$ at least...

I'm sure you could get some work if you offered advertising as part of payment...

As Mist said, finding somebody to make a webpage for free is a very difficult task, mostly if you are expecting a good layout.

If you are a beginner, I would start with something like the w3c Core Styles, http://www.w3.org/StyleSheets/Core/, and maybe templates that can be found on http://www.freewebtemplates.com

I would modify the templates though after time, as basing your site totally upon them lacks originality and people might think less of your site and skills. After you get the hang of html, begin to make your own site and templates ;)

try something like vbindex or vbhome and just change the colors,etc.

Uhhh, none that are around anymore... www.twisted-designs.net but thats only a quick design for a portal to the other sites.... www.orangecow.net is my personal blog, but thats on hiatus until new year.... they're my only 2 sites! If you want to know about me, I will write my basic abilities:

Known HTML for 5 years, only got really proficient the last 2.
Learnt PHP and mySQL over the past year, and did a full e-commerce web site for a local company as my A level project (still in development, but hopefully going live early next year).
Graphic wise I have been using PSP for about 4 years, and Photoshop for 2, I prefer photoshop a LOT and my graphics have come on a mile since then!
I also know a limited ammount of flash, and that is mainly in action script!

Basically, I need to work on my portfolio, hence the doing sites for free until I finish my degree!

If you want me to do a site, get in touch and tell me what you want, and we can go from there, you showing me examples of what you like, dont like etc. :)

Oh, and the default skin on the forums isnt mine, its the one called "Default" you'd have to click here: ... oh wait, it seems my admin friend has set it as override theme... I am going to have to kick his ass. I will upload a screenshot if you want!

Anyways, thats it really!

Very generous offer, maybe I should give away some free vB templates, its good for my portfolio as well :) Or sell some cheap custom designs.

Yah, no where will take you on if you dont have a fairly impressive, or extensive portfolio!
