Weird problem
 
My default site "skin" has 36 queries, but when I made a new one (nearly a blank one, with nothing special) I got 61 queries!

What happened?

skins normally have nothing to do with the querie ammount, you have maybe messed up your index.php

check out if there is a query within a whileloop

Xenon is right. Templates cannot add queries, only PHP files.

Addition:

Except for phpinclude template - this can add queries as it is basically acting like global.php - make sure this is not different.

Its not, all the php files are the same and the templates are clean, no addons/hacks or anything, just a pain white backgrounded page with links/text on it, I just found it weird that it doubled the queries for no reason.
