Admin Image Uploads

Hi all, I don't think anything quite like this has been developed before, so I'm requesting it.

What I would like is a simple file in the admin/mod CP's that will let me upload images via my browser to a specified directory. The image name should stay the same, and without the use of any addition parameters to view it (because I've set vB not to display images with addition prams).

The only other useful feature that I can think about is some type of listing of the directory the images get uploaded to (something like "root/forum/images/forumuse/") with the ability to easily delete images that are no longer needed.

I want this because I often use images in the news that I publish on the front page of SavePoint.co.uk, but it's annoying to have to always upload the files via FTP. I can't use the posts upload feature as I will often want to position the images within the posts.

I know that someone out there can knock something like this up in a couple of hours, and it's something that I would do myself only I don't know anything about file uploading. (maybe I can work together with someone else on this?)

Any takers?

Yes, I've seen this before, but it's a little bit too powerful for what I want. A very good hack, but I just wanted something a little simpler :)

My hack's so easy to install you might as well try it - it's a matter of uploading ftp.php to your admin directory. :)

Yeah, I might try it out, as I said, it's very powerful, must have taken you a while to make, i just don't fancy having to go and CHMOD everything.

You cannot upload via a browser without chmodding the directory to 777. There's no way around that.

I realise this, i was just hoping i'd b able to get away with only chmodding the forumuse image folder :)

I'll sort something out, cheers :)
