Second Date on calendar for user
okay,
I already had this hack working thanks to some of the coders from VB who wrote it and installed it. But with this last upgrade, I've missplaced a function or a snip of code and I have no idea where to look to find what needs to be added. (Its not well documented. Take note: document all hacks as you install!) I have a second date for my members. Besides birthday, my members have an important date surrounding the niche of my site...and they add it to their profile during registration. So, right under birthday, it asks for the date of this special event. They add it during registration..... But somehow it isn't inserting the info...and outputing it. BUT They can go in and edit their profile and add it again...and it puts the info: on the calendar in their profile on the main page showing up like today's birthdays on the post bit underneath their avatar So it does work...just not collecting the data during registration although it appears to... The problem is that although the functions appear to be there...the info/code is not listed in the "INSERT" on register.php (with the rest of the user info) is this what is missing? I'm guessing the info should be inserted there...but for some reason the past files I have (where the special event WAS working for registering) doesn't have this special event inserted here in REGISTER.PHP. Any ideas where I need to look for fix this so it will function again? thanks! |
Its okay...ignore this. :D
I found some help with this one and its now functioning once again (and documented for next upgrade ) ;) |
Kathy,
Did you ever get around to posting this hack? My board for parents seeking support for children with medical issues. It would be great if they could also enter their childs birthday as well. Does your hack allow them to enter what the second date is for?? Thanks, Ang |
