Links to thread pages disappeared.

Signiture once, simply replacing

$post[signature] = $sigcache["$post[userid]"];
with
$post[signature] = '';

Normally when a thread has more than one page of posts, it shows the links to all the pages in that thread at the top and bottom of the thread page. Now those links are gone. How can I get the links back up? I even tried changing the showthread.php file back to the way it was before adding the hacks, reverted the templates and deleted the buddies hack and nothing brought the links back.

Page two, but there's no link to the 1st and 2nd pages at the top and bottom of the thread.
