Buttons and gfx
Does anybody know how some of the buttons are made? Look at PixelJunction, or Forum-Forum.com/forum, or yaxay, vBForumSkins, vb.org, any of the places that have added extra button sets to make things look better. How are these buttons made?
This is the kind of art that I'm tryin to get into, but having a hard time because I'm not sure how they're made. What I'm looking for is to know what programs they're made in, and if anybody might be willing to point me to some tutorials, or even help me. Thanks :) |
photoshop,
some banners are made in 3d studio max. And super designers use stuff like poser, 3dstudio max, photoshop, bryce, (those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head) |
Does anybody know how to make them then? I figured Photoshop was used in some of them, but I'm still not sure how they were made...Thanks :)

Well unless you know how to use and create effective images in photoshop then there's no point explaining :)

I'm not a newbie to Photoshop...here's some of the stuff I've made, and I'm no expert, but I know my way around somewhat. :)

Geez thats quite impressive... i dont know why you need my help hehe
Well basically think of an idea in your head and then try and do it in photoshop. Sometimes i think of a design and then i make the button for it... Say if i had a very elegant design i'd go for smooth buttons with no sharp edges and gentle colours with nothing tooo bright If i had a futuristic design i'd go with some sharp pixel borders and some modern fonts etc - miSt |
Well I'm not sure how well I'd do at the site designs, such as on top of the categories, and the buttons and so on and so forth. But I guess as with the other stuff I've made (not that it's the best or anything) practice makes ya better. :)
Oh, here's my newest thing, nothing impressive, just a simple background with text... http://www.thirdwatchnet.com/images/radonenter2.jpg Thinking about making it the entrance logo to my new site that I'm working on for me, hence the name "radonenter", but we'll see...Not a lot of people seem to like it thus far. :) |
