Stars Hack for 2.2.8

I've installed (& removed!) 2 stars hacks - both designed to give a running total of posts below a username.

I can't see that I've done anything wrong and as this was my first hack I thought it was a good place to start.

Neither hack worked, although I'm sure I've followed the instructions completely - the best I got was stars in PM's and announcements.

I've spent a day scouring this board & elsewhere trying to get it to work..........

Does anyone know if the hack works on version 2.2.8?

I also realise I've probably done something stupid & I'm quite ready to accept 'duh' type comments ;)

Perhaps I should mention that I am a small, blonde, attractive 'older woman' with no inhibitions?

Maybe then someone will answer the 'newbie's' questions........

I am not famillar with the stars hack, but if you want to add stars below a user's title, the way I would do it is just in the title that you want to use for the certain number of posts add on:

<br><img src="{imagesfolder}/xstars.gif">

where x is the number of stars you wan to use for that level.

I did that on another board that I help set up, and it worked perfectly.

I have stars on my 2.2.9 even had it on 2.2.8 You must be doing something wrong. If need be I can install it for you just pm me
