vB integration into main site

I've seen several posts about this, but most were for latest topics, or things of that sort.

I've been wanting to integrate certain elements into the main page of my site, as seen in the attached image. I saw this on a forum on another site, and thought it would be great on my main page.

I'd also want a log in box if the user is not registered or logged in.

If anyone could give me the code to do this, or even help me, I'd be very gracious.

BTW, the Intel logo is the user's avatar.

It can be done. Do a search for the login hack for a non-vB page in the Full Releases forum. Someone has made a hack like that already.

I seem to have found the hack. Its called welcome panel. Is there anyone who can help me integrate this into my main page?
