I got an error in my user.php file (in the admin folder)
after installing the MSN hack. :cry: I only just noticed and thus have no morre backup >.< Well, the error is on line 1754. How do I know which line is 1754 ? I feel completely retarded for asking, but there must be some way. (You don't want to know how I fixed an error on line 625 in a different file :rolleyes: ) And if I don't get this fixed, where can I get an orriginal user.php file ?? Thanks real much |
Open up notepad. Copy and paste user.php into the new text file in notepad. Make sure word wrap is off (Format -> Word Wrap). Turn the status bar on (View -> Status Bar). The line number and column number should be in the lower right-hand corner. :)
You don't have to copy and paste it if it already opens in notepad, just make sure that word wrap is off. |
Thanks man.
But I remembered the backup should be still in the trash bin. But What if the file it too big for notepad ? |
try wordpad;)

wel, I know for sure the functions.php is too big for notepad. But I have wordpad as default editor anyway ^_^

What is the error message you get for line 1754?
Post up the code up to 10 lines before and 10 lines after and see if we can help fix it. |
i suggest getting phpedit, you can find it at downloads.com, its a free php editor that even color codes your php, to help you as well as numbers your lines :}
(also wordpad does not number lines from my experiences) as for the code, i agree with erwin, just post it up here and we can help |
