Invisible users: Alternate Appearance on Who's Online!
Simple, this hack will change the star that appears next to invisible users, it will give you the ability to change it to whatever you want. This hack will change it so invisible users have (invisible) after their username. This affects online.php, forumdisplay.php, index.php.
Full details provided in instructions, just open in any text editor and follow the straight forward instructions! |

Lol...
Nice little change:) Satan |
That sounds like a nice option to have. Thanks.
While we're on the subject, does anyone know how to exclude invisible users from the "who's online" count shown? I've searched around here for a solution to that. But from what I was able to find in these threads, most people didn't seem much interested. I don't suppose that matters much for very large groups. One or two invisible users among 40 or 50 (or more) users online wouldn't even be noticed. But ours is just getting warmed up still and some people feel uncomfortable about such things. Thanks to all for the help you share with everyone. Cheers! |
I'm sure that Admins see the correct count and users who can't see invisible users see the number of visible users.

NTLDR: Actually, the total number is shown to all.
|
The total number IS shown to all, as invisible members appear as guests to other members. I think. :)

That's irrelevant to this hack, post in requests ;)

@Erwin - Invisible Users are shown as "Members", but they dont appear on Whos Online as Guests or anything, unless you can see them;)
