Merging two usernames or more.
On my forum people were unaware that I could change their username for them so some have reregistered when they wanted a new one. I want to merge those users multiple names as one. When merging them I would like to add the post counts, keep all the posts, etc.
Is this already available and if not... possible future thing? |
There isn't a hack to do this as far as I know. You would need to go though the threads and posts tables and update the userids.

hmm, as i know, that was discussed as a possible future thing, but for now it isn't.
and there is also no hack out, because it's very easy to do with queries: [sql]UPDATE post SET userid=xx WHERE userid=yy[/sql] this will give all posts from user yy to user xx. after that you have to upgrade counters in your ACP and you'll get the right postcount aso.. |
