why not add another member give them the login and there you done the posts etc will be under the other name and the new name will not have any posts etc

I just want to rename a member and keep everything which was associated from the previous name ...

you said you want to let all old infos stay with the old name, so you have to create a new member with the new username...

if you just want to change the username and all postusernames should change too, just edit his username in your admin-cp

there are no ways between..
