Just made some changes to forumhome...

I just did some template stuff to forumhome (the main forums index) in the past couple of days on one of my sites.

Check it out: http://www.rctech.net/forum

There are some little template errors here and there around the site that need to be fixed, that I will get around to sooner or later.

Nice. :) I like the scrolling "Happy Birthday" wishes. Good idea.

You may want to move the list of "Online Users" to its own box because if you have a lot of users, it's going to make the login box look big because they appear to share the same height.

Another thing - in your forumdisplay, your "Forum Browsers" is overlapping with some other text. :)

On computers with higher resolutions (1024x768 or greater) the box sizes are not a huge issue. When a user logs in, it replaces the log in box with a PM stats thing that also shows some brief user stats.

On computers with lower resolutions, even if I did move it to a separate box, it would just take up more space somewhere else. After looking at a bunch of designs, I think this is the most efficient use of space I've had yet. It uses DHTML and JScript to resize the boxes to match each other regardless of which is larger.

As for the other templates, yea, there are errors here and there. I need to rework a bunch of them but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Actually, is this still happening? I checked it out and it looks good on my copies of IE at various resolutions. If it is still happening, could you tell me which resolution/browser is doing it?

Thanks! :)
