Removing Hacks
Over the past year my free time has steadily decreased, and I've pretty much stopped hacking by boards. With the upcoming release of vBulletin 3.0, I'd like to be able to upgrade easily and without problems, and this means removing all the hacks I've done.
What would the easiest way to do this be? |
well just upload all original files and revert all templates.
that's all what needed if you've done DB-changes you have to redo them (via phpmyadmin would be the easiest way) |
The problem is I've done a LOT of hacks, and in a lot of those hacks there were DB changes...
|
well if you've just added tables and field, that's no problem, just delete all additional tables and field and the upload the original files
|
You don't have to remove your hacks to upgrade. When it is time to upgrade, just replace your current hacked files, with the new version files. Then run the upgrade file. Done.
|
After I do that, is there a way to easily remove all the excess crap out of the database, and get it back to being pure? :)
