Disallow replies except admin/author, but only in certain threads in certain forum...
 

Ok (hope I can explain this one)...

I want to be able to turn this ability on and off by forum. SO one forum may have this ability for the user, and another not.

I want the users when they post in that forum, to be able to disallow replies from anyone except themselves and admins.

What this is to be used for is...

Work in progress car addons for a racing simulation. It's to allow the author to keep the visitors up to date with the status of his car modelling, but not allow his post to be spammed with a load of people asking how long it's going to be until it's ready...

Any takers?? ;)

easiest way:

create a new forum
then goto forumpermissions for registred usergroup:
set
"Can reply to other's threads"
to no
