vbIndex Style News
 
Ok....you may be wondering why I am asking all the questions....but I have had a totally new idea for a site and would like to use the best message board software (vB) out there as a backbone...

No I would like to know how to use the News/Commenting system like on vbIndex on my main page....but I dont want all the other stuff that comes with vbIndex on there. I tried looking for a modification like this but was unsucessful in finding one.....

vbIndex adds 45queries to your main page. that's a kill for your server, but i doubt you care about this.
